Based on the regulations of the UAE, when starting a business in the mainland, the investor can choose between three types of license, based on the activities required for the business. Those three types are:
When setting up a mainland company, a business owner may gain some of the following benefits:
- Doing business anywhere within the UAE.
- Having an office or retail space in any area within the mainland jurisdiction.
- Holding a stronger reputation compared to the free zone license.
- Availing widespread business activities.
- Having capacity to obtain licenses for certain regulated activities within the UAE.
- Meeting more convenient requirements for banking.
